The Pharisee's had an external religion so that to be seen by men. They were circumcised on the outward which was the seal that they were the covenant children of Abraham, but Abraham was the Father of faith. The letter of the law was thought to bring righteousness, but true righteousness is by faith. Faith is on the inward and produces a true outward manifestation of God, that is the Righteousness of God. That is why faith reveals righteousness (Rom. 1:16)....
